Hold to speak, release to set
Open Zhongyi, allow alarm access and choose your language. Hold the microphone, allow Microphone and Speech Recognition access, and say a time and task. Release, then check the upcoming list. If permission prompts interrupt the first gesture, hold again after granting access.
Try “Remind me in ten minutes to turn off the TV”, “Wake me up tomorrow morning at seven”, or “Remind me tomorrow at 3 PM to pick up a parcel”. “Set a ten-minute timer” creates a one-time alarm; it does not provide a pausable timer.
Use AM/PM or a clear time of day. Use October 23rd or 23 October instead of ambiguous dates like 03/04. Next Friday, recurrence, location conditions, time zones and advance reminders are not supported. English uses Apple's US English recognizer; results vary with accent and environment.
Type or edit a task
Tap the keyboard button beside the microphone to choose a future date and time and enter a task. Swipe left on an upcoming alarm to edit its task while retaining its time. To change the time, delete and recreate it.
Swipe left to delete. In version 1.1, you can undo within three seconds while the scheduled time is still in the future. Past records are managed separately. “Scheduled time passed” does not confirm that sound was delivered or that the task was completed.
Home and Lock Screen widgets
Add Zhongyi from your Home or Lock Screen's widget picker. The small Home Screen widget shows an upcoming alarm and has previous/next controls when there is more than one. Lock Screen widgets show the next alarm. iOS controls refresh timing; multiple Home Screen instances currently share the browsing selection.
Permissions, speech and privacy
Apple provides speech recognition. It runs on device when supported for the chosen language; otherwise an internet connection may be needed. Zhongyi has no developer speech server, ads or analytics SDK. If an alarm is not created, check the message, permissions, language and connection, then try a complete request again.
For Siri and Shortcuts, first grant alarm access in the app, then add “Set an Alarm by Voice” (the system controls its language). Read the Privacy Policy for details.
Choosing English
Choosing English changes the main app screens and messages. System permission dialogs, Siri and Shortcuts action names follow your iPhone settings. Existing task text is not translated, and changing the app language does not change scheduled alarm times.
